Karolina’s minimalistic aesthetic has its own quiet essence. A creative vision between a dark universe and light touch, pieces created slowly and thoughtfully as a process of art and craft. The mindful gesture of ceramics is symbolic in Port of Stars process to create visionary pieces, allowing us to go deeper into the fabric of our work and the embodiment of thoughtful creation. In this series of photographs by Aneta Zimova we explored the completitive world of Karolina’s work, dressed in our simple sample pieces, using light and shadow play to create emotive images full of intrigue and mystery.

Ceramics as craft or art has an emotional appeal. A cup to hold our daily rituals, a plate to nourish our daily wants and desires. Karolina’s creations allow us to savour and enjoy the moment, taking it slower, sitting for an instance longer, looking a little closer, allowing a deeper connection.

Selected pieces from Karolina’s latest work will be available at our showroom, with the artist presenting and discussing her process as part of our intimate evening on the 7th of December 4pm - 7pm with Port of Stars.
